About Silvia Dominguez Vanni:

Silvia Dominguez Vanni is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Mystic Force Foundation for Childhood Cancer. She is a native of Miami Beach, Florida. After graduating from McArthur High School, Silvia graduated from the Early Childhood Education program at Sheridan Technical College and went on to meet her husband and have 5 children. In 2007 her youngest son, Salvatore, was diagnosed with Stage IV Neuroblastoma Cancer at the age of 4 & ½ and suffered through 3 & ½ years of painful and torturous treatments, he passed away one month shy of his eighth Birthday. This life altering diagnosis came with the mind-boggling realization that a large percentage of children diagnosed with cancer die due to a lack of treatment options which in turn is due to a lack of funding for Childhood Cancer Research. It is now Silvia’s mission in life to save every child from the same fate her own son faced and to make their lives while in treatment as happy as possible, whenever possible.
